Fresh Design Unveiled for Toyota's GR010 Hybrid Hypercars
Toyota Gazoo Racing has revealed a redesigned appearance for its pair of hypercars set to participate in the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship, encompassing the 92nd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans scheduled for June 12-16.
In 2024, Toyota Gazoo Racing will introduce a new matte black livery for the Toyota GR010 Hybrids. According to the Japanese manufacturer, this fresh paint scheme symbolizes the ongoing commitment to enhancing motorsports-bred vehicles and continual evolution. The accompanying visuals depict the car featuring a reflective silver-colored roof, strategically designed to mitigate cockpit temperatures and enhance driver comfort. This revamped design will extend to the World Rally Championship and all other competitions entered by Toyota Gazoo Racing.
In honor of the 24 Hours of Le Mans Centenary, Toyota has incorporated a touch of cherry blossom to the livery of both GR010 Hybrids. For the upcoming season, the #7 car will be driven by Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi, and Nyck de Vries, while Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley, and Ryō Hirakawa will once again form the team for the #8 car. Toyota is steadfast in its pursuit to reclaim the 24 Hours of Le Mans title and secure a seventh FIA WEC championship.
