Salač Secures Position on Second Row

Team QJMOTOR Gresini Moto2 had a successful second day of action at the Mobility Resort Motegi, with Filip Salač securing a fifth-place grid position for tomorrow's race. Salač faced challenges during the day, particularly in FP3, where he barely made it to Q2 due to numerous yellow flag situations. In Q2, he narrowly missed securing a front-row start by just 80 thousandths of a second, possibly due to a minor mistake.

Jeremy Alcoba, however, faced difficulties with his motorcycle and struggled during the qualifying session, finishing with the 23rd quickest lap-time and more than a second behind pole position. He aims to make a comeback in the race and achieve a top-15 finish as the minimum goal.

Salač expressed satisfaction with his performance, acknowledging the challenges he faced during FP3 but highlighting his strong showing in Q2, despite a minor error. Alcoba, on the other hand, described the weekend as challenging and hopes to improve his performance in the race tomorrow.
