Formula 1 Set to Journey to Singapore This Weekend
The Singapore Grand Prix is scheduled to take place on Sunday at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, marking the arrival of Formula One excitement in Singapore for Round 16.
This 62-lap race will unfold on the 4.94-kilometer (3.06-mile) Marina Bay Street Circuit. Preceding the Grand Prix on Sunday, a qualifying session will be held.
Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen, the reigning back-to-back F1 champion, is having an exceptional season, clinching victory in 12 races, including an impressive 10 consecutive wins. Verstappen's recent win in Italy's Monza marked his 10th consecutive victory, surpassing the record set in 2013 by Germany's Sebastian Vettel.
Red Bull Racing has enjoyed a stellar season, largely attributed to Verstappen's dominance. His teammate, Sergio Perez, also contributed with two wins for Red Bull during the 2023 spring, securing victories in the Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan Grands Prix.
Notably, the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, originally the sixth race of the season, was canceled in May due to flooding in northern Italy.
The Singapore Grand Prix is set to kick off at 12:00 GMT.
