F1 Team Presents Compelling Proof Against Red Bull and Two Additional Teams in Effort to Alter Race Outcome
Guenther Steiner, the team principal of Haas, has publicly addressed their pursuit of a review of the results from the United States Grand Prix.
Steiner claims that Haas possesses "compelling evidence" to support their efforts to reverse the outcome of the United States Grand Prix, with Red Bull being one of three teams called to an FIA hearing. Haas finds themselves embroiled in a closely contested battle at the bottom of the Constructors' Championship, where each point carries significant financial implications.
The United States Grand Prix assumed critical importance as Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant gained from the disqualification of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, earning three valuable points for Williams. Nico Hulkenberg narrowly missed scoring points, leaving Haas at the bottom of the Constructors' Championship.
The American-licensed F1 team filed a request for a review with the FIA last weekend to challenge the race result in Austin. Their appeal centers around alleged track limit violations by Williams, Red Bull, and Aston Martin, with race stewards acknowledging their lack of available data to assess all corners.
Steiner insists that the established rules should be followed and urges the sport's governing body to take action based on the "compelling evidence" Haas is prepared to present during Wednesday's hearing. Steiner stated, "Rules exist. If the stewards lacked the correct information, it's understandable that they couldn't take action. However, now that we have the necessary information, we await the FIA's response when they have access to this data. I understand they may not have reviewed the images yet, but in such a scenario, how can they make a definitive decision? Nevertheless, we now possess clear and indisputable evidence."
Albon had already received a five-second penalty for exceeding track limits, but further penalties would have been applied if stewards had noted a second infraction. Ultimately, the Williams driver finished less than five seconds ahead of Hulkenberg.
