Singapore Grand Prix F1 What Time Does Friday Practice Start At Marina Bay
Max Verstappen is in pursuit of yet another triumph, which would mark his 11th consecutive victory, as Formula 1 makes its return to Asia for the highly-anticipated Singapore Grand Prix held at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
Verstappen recently shattered the record for the most successive race wins during the previous race in Monza, surpassing Ferrari's Carlos Sainz to secure his 10th consecutive victory. The Dutch driver is on a clear path to securing his third consecutive F1 world championship, currently holding a commanding 145-point lead in the standings over his teammate, Sergio Perez. However, it's important to note that he cannot secure the championship title in Singapore.
Ferrari showcased an improved performance in Italy, with Sainz achieving his first podium finish of the year and Charles Leclerc securing a fourth-place finish. Meanwhile, the Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, fresh from signing new contracts, claimed sixth and fifth positions, respectively. Alex Albon of Williams once again delivered an impressive performance, finishing in seventh place.
Sergio Perez emerged as the victor in last year's rain-soaked race held under the dazzling lights of Singapore, a venue where Verstappen has yet to clinch a victory in his career. Lewis Hamilton, on the other hand, has claimed victory at Marina Bay on four occasions.
