2023 Singapore Formula 1 Guide: What to Experience at This Year's F1 Singapore Grand Prix
How to Reach F1 Grand Prix Singapore 2023
Due to the race being held in the heart of the city, encompassing the Marina Bay and Civic precinct, road closures are in effect. Event attendees and ticket holders have access to multiple entrances located around the race circuit perimeter.
It's advisable to avoid arriving by taxi or private car rentals. Instead, the most convenient way to reach the F1 Grand Prix Singapore venue is by utilizing the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) system. The nearest MRT stations where you can disembark are City Hall Station (Gate 3), Raffles Place Station (Gates 4, 5, and 6), Esplanade Station (Gate 7), Promenade Station (Gate 2), Bayfront Station (Gate 8), and Nicoll Highway Station (Gate 1).
There are two primary ticket categories available: Walkabout and Grandstand. Within the Walkabout category, there are two subcategories: Premier Walkabout and Zone 4 Walkabout.
The Premier Walkabout ticket grants holders the freedom to move around and enjoy the race from any vantage point in Zone 1 to Zone 4. Additionally, this ticket includes access to a variety of entertainment options and food and beverage offerings throughout the entire Circuit Park.
Conversely, those holding Zone 4 Walkabout tickets are limited to roaming within Zone 4 and can access specially designed viewing platforms at strategic trackside locations. This ticket is particularly suitable for those interested in attending the daily entertainment performances and concerts in F1 Village @ Zone 4.
All Walkabout ticket holders will have access to strategically positioned viewing bleachers within the Marina Bay Street Circuit and the entertainment programs in Zone 4.
Grandstand tickets provide allocated seating at various locations along the trackside. This year, there are new grandstands at the Marina Bay Street Circuit to watch the race, compensating for the reduced capacity due to the closure of the Bay Grandstand, which is currently undergoing redevelopment.
Ticket prices start at SGD128 for a single-day Walkabout ticket. Unfortunately, all three-day packages are currently sold out.
The race schedule for the three days is as follows:
- September 15 (Friday)
- Practice 1: 5.30pm to 6.30pm
- Practice 2: 9pm to 10pm
- September 16 (Saturday)
- Practice 3: 5.30pm to 6.30pm
